Although the company established market leadership, the use of paper valve bags caused Proma to experience production limitations and an inability to meet growing demand, pressure from retailers to switch to plastic packaging, and an exceeding amount of end-user feedback in regards to poor packaging quality. With the support and inputs of Plastixx FFS Technologies, Proma made the decision to update its filling equipment so that it could adopt Plastixx’ XFLO™+ plastic bag across 25 of its top hero products. Plastixx’ XFLO™+ bag would allow Proma to offer product packaging that’s weatherproof, has effective venting capabilities, is 100% recyclable and enables an extended product shelf life.
